Get your Office 2007 beta

If you feel like living dangerously, you can download the Office 2007 [*] beta code here. If you don’t already have the .NET Framework 1.1 installed, you’ll have to download and install it first.

[*]Yeah, I know that’s not the official name.

  1. Is it just me, or is a Technet subscription starting to become less and less valuable? It seems everything makes it out to public by Beta 2 these days (IE and Office thus far…), so you’re getting less and less for your $500+ a year with Technet…

  2. Thomas, I’ve been using FeedDemon with NG’s synchronization feature for the past few months and haven’t tried installing NG Inbox into Outlook 2007.

I suspect it works. The NG folks have been very good about keeping up with developments.

  3. First I could hardly register to download SmartSource for MS Office Downloads. Server too busy…

Now, after 20 minutes of refreshes and reposts, I cannot login with my e-mail address.

Well done, Microsoft! I guess they were not expecting this level of interest.

  4. Hey Ed / Thomas – Yes, Inbox will work with Office 2007. We’ve had a few people running it in house for a while now.

    Just FYI!

  5. It does! Works great! Loving the new Office, too. Haven’t really played with a lot of the new toys, but the UX is great, even on my 1.6GHz 1GB of RAM R15 tablet! I haven’t had the opportunity to play with inking much, but I’m hoping to spend some time tonight in OneNote, exclusively inking.

    Thanks!
