The last paragraph is gold, by the way. However, guys like me who live in their “customized” basements or caves as many refer to them will take WMC straight to where we keep the computer, and not necessarily in the living room. My setup resembles a NASA shuttle cockpit more than an entertainment setup. But while I work, I listen to streamed opera, tape a TCM (yes, the recent Chaplin movies were fantastic; both he and Harold Lloyd were geniuses) movie while watching the latest stagflation numbers on TV.
It’s really crazy, and it’s really fun. And I never imagined it when I bought my first PC in 1985. I still smart from how expensive it was.
Hi Ed,
Thanks for the great interview. I did notice the strange permalink title for your interview post. I was using a post template in Blogger and somehow the original title (for the Thomas Hawk interview) got put in my archive link. I’ve never had this happen before so it is rather odd. Hopefully it doesn’t cause too much confusion!
