I’ve recommended the free Copernic Desktop Search over X1 and other contenders. Copernic just released a new Copernic Desktop Search v1.5 Beta. I’ve installed it and it appears to work well. As with any software that includes the word “beta” in its description, you should exercise greater-than-usual caution. But so far, so good.
